This is an active and exciting year for energy issues within our state and nation. The Energy Policy Working Group of the Energy Policy Council is diligently working to ensure a sustainable energy future for North Carolina by developing an overall statewide energy policy.

This page will keep you informed of the complex issues involved in forming an energy policy and will update you on the progress of the Energy Policy Working Group. We invite you to become informed and participate in the process as it moves forward this year. Members of the public will be invited to make oral or written comments on a draft energy policy during a series of public hearings that will be held around the state in the summer of 2002.

If you have questions or recommendations, please email us. We want to hear from you as North Carolina charts its energy future.
